We would always encourage you to make your application as early as possible. Due to popularity, we may have to close these opportunities after only a short time.

WHEN DO THE PROGRAMMES START?

The Graduate Programme starts at the beginning of September 2019. In special circumstances you may be able to start earlier.

Our Industrial Placement programme starts in July 2019.

WHERE WILL I BE BASED?

For the Graduate Programme you will be given a base location for contractual purposes, this is usually either Swindon or Essen and occasionally London.

For the Commercial Graduate Programme (only) we also offer a base location of Singapore for the Asia Pacific market.

Depending on the graduate programme your rotations could take you to Cologne, Essen, Prague, London, Swindon, Den Bosch or Singapore.

For the Industrial Placements, you'll be based in Swindon or London.

HOW ARE ROTATIONS CHOSEN?

Your first rotation will be allocated by us depending on your strengths and where we think you can hit the ground running. After this you can choose your own rotations from various departments across the company.

For the Commercial Graduate Programme you can usually choose from every area of our business. This includes: proprietary trading of energy commodities (power, coal, gas, oil, LNG); commercial asset optimisation; sales and origination; analytical functions such as structuring and valuation or risk management; and principal investments, commodity solutions and other areas you may not expect to be part of a trading business.

For the Support Function Graduate Programme, you can choose from: IT; Back Office; Human Resources; Corporate Affairs; Risk; Regulatory Affairs; and Compliance.

For the RWE Finance Graduate Programme, you can choose from: Controlling; Credit risk; accounting; financing; and portfolio management.

For the RWE IT Graduate Programme you can choose your rotations, so you can opt for the area you are most interested in, whether it's infrastructure management, IT security, IT project management, application development or procurement management.

You don’t undertake rotations for the Industrial Placements.
